I love to make bold designs and colors of all kinds. I love the look of Bohemian with paisley designs and unusual combinations. I started creating pops of color for my home and continue to make my decor bright and playful. I like the Mackenzie-Child with a flair for Bohemian mixed to add that touch of whimsy in my paintings too.
When I have creative energy, I like the Bohemian life-style. It is colorful, intriguing, and restful. During the Bohemian movement, I was having babies and taking care of my family. I did wear bell bottoms and hip huggers. I was thin and flat belly during those days. These days I wear bright colors and still Bohemian like style. I love the clothing at Anthropology . I browse in the store many times just to get decor ideas. I make a mental note of the items that I want to recreate in my studio.
Having an eye for color, I start with a project and most of time I build upon my imagination. I always add a touch of whimsy to my designs. One of those times was in my extra bedroom where I painted my sliding closet doors. They look dated and in need of attention. I spent several days painting paisley designs and checks and sayings on those doors. It goes with my Anthropology spread and shams. I love how it turned out.
Hope you enjoy the crazy Bohemian styles and let’s share your design projects.
