My Whimsical Art Queen Studio Coloring Book is coming along great. I’ve been thinking about what I like to color and now to focus on what will inspire other. I’m thinking special events, holidays, and word catchy ideas.
I’ve finished most of the drawings and now to start some embellishments to give the drawings a unique flair. I want my Whimsical Art Queen Coloring Book to inspire the use of bold colors.
I feel creativity is the key to seeing beyond the page and add the artist touch to my drawings. I am more of a Pop Art artist and that gives me an edge to almost child-like coloring pages. I have researched some of the coloring books and the dark areas of most pages don’t appeal to me. My idea is to give my book art for framing or place on their walls to bring joy. I’m dreaming this would be the ultimate reward.
My Whimsical Art Queen Studio Coloring Book is a work in progress but it’s full-filling my need as an artist. I love color and drawing from that I can visualize the pages. Come back soon and even give me advice, I welcome it.
Artist in training,
Make time for ART it’s Important!
Many times, we all need a break from life itself. We wind up stressed and tired from the hassles of life. We go through the motions of living and repeat the same routine each day of the week. Well, that kind of life gets you nowhere! Maybe it’s time to think about your schedule and start to Make time for ART!
HINTS TO HELP YOU RECLAIM YOUR LIFE
Make a list of chores you Must do weekly. (cleaning, grocery shopping, attend church) Complete those chores in record time and don’t spend all day with work. There’s loads of fun and you have to keep moving!
Make a list of chores you can give to a family member. (laundry, walk the dog, empty the dishwasher) It’s only fair that members of a household share in the upkeep.
Make a list of things you want to accomplish but never have the time to do!
Making time for yourself is the best thing you can do for you and your family. Your soul will thank you. I know each day is hectic. We all have very little time for the finer things in life. I’m here to tell you the days, weeks, and years go by fast and one day you look around and you have lost your passion for life.
It usually happens when your last child is off to college and you wind up with an empty nest. Believe me, I’ve been there. If you are nearing a zero birthday, (this is a time to reflect on your life) then it’s time to take charge of your time!
- Learn a new hobby. (Check out Pintrest for endless ideas)
- Join a book club. (Check out information at your local library)
- Take up needlepoint. (I love needlepoint and I take it with me on trips to have something to do when traveling in the car.)
- Join a health club, yoga, power walking, stretch class ( I recommend because muscles start to weaken at the age of 60)
- Start a journal. (This is a hobby you can pick up and lay down with ease.)
- Take an art class to see if you have a hidden talent.( I recommend)
If you want to venture into art I have a quick easy project that will get you started.
I bought several 4″x 6″ flat sketch boards at Hobby Lobby and used my Prismacolor and Copic pens to start drawing pictures from my head. It takes some quiet time to bring you to this point in life. I have may Queen Studio to give me the peace I need.
You can look in magazines for art that speaks you. I again reinforce you trying Pintrest for ideas. It can be your life-line to all kinds of interesting ideas.
You will feel at peace and happy when you take charge of your time. Start to include your family to help you with chores. Find a positive niche that speaks to you. Include a friend that likes the same things you do. You will begin to feel stress leaving your body and your mind will feel alive!
Make time for art, it’s important!
It will take you to your happy place.
I love flowers, usually just the site of them will bring a smile to my face. I don’t get them very often and decided years ago to plant a garden with many flowers. I have slowly created a mixed garden of lovely flowers and flowering shrubs that I can cut from and bring inside. I like going out early in the morning while the dew is still on the roses..that’s a song and it’s so true. The best part is it’s a garden of many colors and it brings joy to my heart. I sometimes cut them and take them to work so that I can have a sweet smell of flowers all day long.
There is a gentleman at my work that has over 50 varieties of roses and he shares them with all the ladies in our building. I appreciate the kindness he shows and he doesn’t realize how it cheers my heart. I am thankful for effort.
Do you have something that makes you smile? It might be just a hug from your child, or maybe a smile from a handsome man. Tell me what makes you smile and we all can learn from each other. I am doing a study of what makes others smile, please tell me yours.
